Record support for World Water Day on Digg
More than 242 Digg votes were cast over the week-end in an unprecedented online demonstration to express massive support for World Water Day and to raise awareness about the Global Water Crisis taking place as we speak...
International World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resource.
Early this week a new UN report highlighted the crucial role of water in development and the urgency to tackle global water crisis.
To mark World Water Day and the launch of their newest website, the ONE DROP foundation decided to draw attention to the global water crisis on Digg, Facebook, Twitter and many other popular social networks in a grassroots effort called Ripple.
